About OpenCitizen

OpenCitizen.com was launched to give me a place to promote my worldview while providing an open forum for users to discuss current events relating to the intersection of politics and pop culture and anything else that merits dialogue.

Troy
  • I am a forty-something-year-old white liberal male living in the Twin Cities of Minnesota.
  • When I was 5, I liked to wear dress shirts, ties and sweaters. Today I wear dress shirts, ties and sweaters. (I guess that means I still dress the same way I did 40 years ago).
  • I was born and raised in the midwest, although I have lived in Lincoln, NE, Chicago, IL and Tampa, FL.
  • I lived in a trailer park called "King's Manor" for nearly one year when I was 8 years old.
  • I was raised in an Assembly of God Church by a conservative, Christian family.
  • I attended Oral Roberts University for a few years until we had a parting of the ways.
  • I am pro-human race, and don't think that there is any place on this earth for discrimination.
  • I am a certified graduate of the John Casablanca Modeling School and have the thousand dollar certificate to prove it.
  • I think hypocrisy and greed will be the death of organized religion.
  • I write classical music and like to pretend it is reminiscent of Chopin.
  • I think LEGO is as much an adult toy as a child's, maybe more so.
  • I enjoy going to the dentist and hate going to the doctor.
  • I believe in karma because I think mean people will get what's coming to them.
  • In my opinion, there is no Mac - PC controversy.
